Securing NFS Storage Connectivity

If NFS storage is configured on a host, measures can be taken to minimize the security risks. Consider the following:

Enable Kerberos with v4.1 NFS connectivity. This will encrypt the traffic.

Use segregated VLANs or dedicated storage-only switches for NFS traffic to prevent unauthorized snooping of that network.
