Performance Monitoring

Use vSphere best practices along with the organization’s service-level agreements (SLAs) to determine what to monitor. Use vSphere best practices, SLAs, and SME interviews to determine performance thresholds for CPU, memory, storage, and network resources. Beyond normal vSphere monitoring, do specific services or applications require specific monitoring? Automate performance monitoring whenever possible, and create alarms for notification when performance thresholds are exceeded.
