Security
The vSphere virtualization platform is an inherently secure environment from a technical standpoint. The hypervisor has a minimal footprint and APIs for monitoring practically eliminate the need for installing other third-party software on the host.
There are guidelines for securing a vSphere implementation. See the VMware vSphere Hardening Guide (https://www.vmware.com/ca/en/security/hardening-guides) for detailed configuration information and best practices.
